Chandrayaan 3 India
Chandrayaan-3 is India's third mission to explore the Moon. It's part of the Chandrayaan program run by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Just like Chandrayaan-2, it has a lander called Vikram and a rover named Pragyan.
The mission started on July 14, 2023, when it was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh, India. On August 5, 2023, it reached the Moon's orbit, and on August 23, 2023, it landed successfully near the Moon's South Pole.
The Vikram lander has special tools to study the Moon's surface like a camera to map the land, a laser to measure height, and a magnetometer. The Pragyan rover can move up to 500 meters on the Moon and pick up samples of soil and rocks.
Chandrayaan-3 is a really big deal for ISRO and India's space program. It's the first time India has managed to land a machine on the Moon, and it's also the first time any country has landed a machine at the Moon's South Pole.

Chandrayaan 2 India
Chandrayaan-2 is India's second mission to explore the Moon. It was made by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), following Chandrayaan-1. Chandrayaan-2 has a spaceship that goes around the Moon, a landing machine called Vikram, and a rover named Pragyan. All of these were created in India. The main goal is to learn about the Moon's surface and find out where there might be water.
The mission began on July 22, 2019, when it was launched. The spaceship went into the Moon's orbit on August 20, 2019. The landing part, Vikram, tried to land on the Moon on September 7, 2019. Sadly, it lost contact when it was just 2.1 km above the Moon. People are still trying to figure out why it happened.
Even though Vikram didn't land properly, the spaceship that goes around the Moon is still working. It's collecting information about the Moon and will probably keep doing that for about a year. The rover, Pragyan, couldn't be used because of the landing problem, but it's still attached to Vikram. They might be able to use it later.
